Pedigree

Ute achieved her CKC conformation championship at the age of sixteen months, including several group placements along the way. In the outdoors along with Paul, an avid bird hunter, Ute is proving herself to be a tenacious bird dog, demonstrating a strong desire to work coupled with an excellent nose. She is a strong retriever, both on land and in the water. These attributes are reflected in her NAVHDA testing, in which she achieved a perfect score of 112 points for Natural Ability and a Prize III for the Utility Preparatory Test. Ute also earned a Canadian Field Dog title.  Both Marilyn and Paul are now sharing the training for her to take the NAVHDA Utility Test next and Marilyn has spent many an hour hiding in insect-infested sloughs helping to perfect Ute’s blind search and retrieves! Ute also includes tracking and obedience in her repertoire and she holds a CKC TD as well as CKC and AKC CDs, the latter being achieved in one weekend with three first place finishes. In their first try at a CKC CDX leg, Ute and Paul went High In Trial!  Along the way, she has also earned her Canine Good Neighbour certificate. Taken together, she is proving to be a truly versatile weimaraner and recently earned her Weimaraner Association of Canada VX title as a result. Plans for her future include further titles in tracking, obedience, and field as well as a lot of hunting!

Pedigree

Despite his owner’s hectic schedule, Sirus has been able to verify the versatile qualities of this high drive Regen dog. Sirus’ first accomplishment was to gain a CKC TD, an experience Brian likened to being towed behind a powerboat! But Sirus’ true love is for retrieving in water or on land which Brian cultivated in him as a pup with endless ball throws down the grassy slopes of the area. Sirus has an excellent nose and quickly learned to find and retrieve sticks thrown into the tangled brush of the coastal forest. His nose has also served him well in the field where he has earned a CKC FDJ. Equally proficient in the show ring, Sirus has recently completed his CKC conformation championship. Plans for his future include further titles in tracking and obedience.
