At five weeks old we begin shaping their behavior for all of the performance events. By the time they are ready to go to their new homes at eight weeks old they have a good basis for recall, stay, heeling, eye contact, tracking, and fetching. They have been introduced to crate training, water, birds & car rides. We also have a local trainer administer the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test on all the pups at 49 days and we keep records of their scores. Throughout this entire process we keep notes for each pup with the goal of placing our pups in homes that match their natural aptitude and temperament.
